　　Archaeologists defile the tomb of mummified Kharis, who was buried alive for falling in love with an Egyptian princess.

　　盖里（Calvin Reeder 饰）、扎克（Lane Hughes 饰）等人是一伙无恶不作的不法之徒，某天他们接到委托，要闯入某户人家偷取一盒神秘的录像带。空空荡荡的大房子里，只有一个死去的老人坐在电视机前。他们无所顾忌，播放了那盘录像带：第一段视频中，一群年轻人带着针头摄像头去夜店狂欢把妹，却遭遇一名夺命妖妹；一对旅行中的情侣入住Motel，期间他们偶遇一名请求搭车的女子，夜晚更有人潜入他们的房间，厄运降临；两男两女驱车去林区度假，却遭遇凶残的杀手；一对网络情侣通过视频聊天，女子声称经常在家中听到奇怪的声响。镜头前，一幕幕恐怖画面接连上演。万圣节，几名男子以外遭遇了神秘而残酷的仪式，他们介入其中，自己的命运也发生改变。

　　In Josh Sternfeld's  meticulously crafted murder mystery, a Catskills police detective (Nick Stahl) charged with investigating a juvenile homicide in an affluent suburb finds he must return to his struggling hometown of Caswell to find the killers. As his investigation picks up intensity, the grieving mother begins a battle of will and vengeance with members of Caswell, igniting a class war between two vastly different towns in rural America.

　　Constantly on the hunt and suffering from hallucinations that drive his violent nature, an unnamed man is capturing women and savagely beating them to death. Meanwhile, a woman is luring men into a violent end, by way of her knife. Driven by the same force to make the opposite sex suffer, the killers’ fates intertwine. The two must face off in a battle to the death, in which they are forced to reveal the horrible truth behind their addiction to murder.
　　“Brutal” takes an interesting approach to its visuals, drawing heavy influence from Western “Grindhouse” films, using a filter to make the footage appear grainy, damaged, and with light and color fluctuations. Unfortunately, the visual styling ends up feeling misguided, as other than applying the filter it does not imitate any other aspects of the “Grindhouse” genre. Despite trying to dirty up the film, it is apparent it was shot on digital. The cinematography is also a step above most “Grindhouse” productions, with Takashi Hirose proving he has talent behind the camera. Exterior shots to those taking place in small spaces are all competently framed, lit, and transition well. The decision to add an effect on top of the work hurts the film’s imagery and even gives a sense of desperation to try to capture a certain type of nostalgia with the audience, instead of relying on its own strengths. It is unfortunate when one creative choice can hurt a production so much.
　　The story of “Brutal” is simple but effective, it does attempt some sort of social commentary about the violent nature of men and women, but it does not offer enough depth into the subject to justify the amount of violence on display. The film does end on a strong note with an interesting twist, with a reveal that is bound to gross some out, while giving others a chuckle. In spite of its simple nature, those who enjoy films that make them somewhat uncomfortable and enjoy the challenge of getting through some ultra-violence, “Brutal” poses a fun and entertaining challenge in that regard.

　　今年因为疫情肆虐，戏院排片也饱受影响，目前《馗降：粽邪2》仍定档今年农曆七月，希望鬼门大开之时，藉由鬼王出巡的气势，为大家驱疫除害。

　　一股智能电流在不同屋子间流窜。它通过控制各种器具来恐吓屋子里面的居民，或者杀死他们或者对房子进行破坏。 然后它通过电线流窜到下一个屋子，开始新一轮的恐吓行动。刚刚破坏掉一套安静的房子，电流就串到下一套住宅了。这个住宅的主人是一个离过婚的父亲和他的儿子。 在这里，电流慢慢控制了所有物体，然后重伤了孩子的继母。 现在它正在设下陷阱等待孩子和他的父亲，而他们则需要尽力找到逃生的路。。。。。。

　　1997年，亚洲金融危机如同暴风雨一般席卷各国，公司倒闭已成寻常，老板富贾逃亡自杀，普通民众的生活愈加困苦。富家女孩布姆（Thunyaphat Pattarateerachaicharoen 饰）父亲所盖的大楼最终烂尾，遭到父亲家暴后，万念俱灰的布姆和伊布（Panisara Rikulsurakan 饰）相约自杀。阴差阳错，贝尔去往另一个世界，布姆则苟活人间。
　　时光流转，20年后的布姆（楠迪·宗拉维蒙 Namthip Jongrachatawiboon 饰）已成为小有名气的房地产企业家。某天，她带着女儿贝尔（安比查雅•松可寒 Apichaya Thongkham 饰）再次来到当年和朋友自杀的烂尾楼。顽皮的贝尔四处游荡，捡到了母亲当初和伊布沟通的BP机。殊不知，一个孤独的灵魂已在此等候多年，只为了践行未完的承诺……

　　《电锯惊魂》第九部由第8部的两位编剧皮特·古德芬格和乔什·斯托伯格撰写剧本。执导了《电锯惊魂234》的达伦·林恩·鲍斯曼此番回归执导。

　　Bill Kiowa (Montgomery Ford) is released after a five-year prison term for a crime he did not commit. The bandit El Fego (Tatsuya Nakadai), who did the actual crime, also killed Kiowa's young Native American wife. Once free, Kiowa raises a gang to go after the man who framed him. An Italian western in the A FISTFUL OF DOLLARS mold with a better than average cast, which includes Bud Spencer in the debut of his heavy-handed character (later made famous in the TRINITY series) and the outstanding Japanese actor Tatsuya Nakadai, famous for his role in Akira Kurosawa's KAGEMUSHA. Written by horror-meister Dario Argento and presented here in the English-language version (which, considering it was filmed MOS with an international cast, is nearly as "original dialogue" as its Italian-language counterpart).
